Yakov Smirnoff Performs at the
Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
Branson, MO – Internationally known comedian, Yakov Smirnoff, performed Saturday, January 20, at the highly prestigious Congressional Ball in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. During his thirty-minute comedy piece, Yakov delighted his black-tie audience with unique insights into life, family, and these United States. Commenting on the Inauguration, Yakov said, “Only In America can you watch the peaceful transition of power, strength, and glory going from Hillary to Laura.”
Attending the Congressional Ball where Smirnoff performed were Congressional Leaders (including California Congressman Chris Cox), government representatives, and national celebrities such as Johnny Bench, Lee Iacocca, and relationship guru, Dr. Ruth. Congressman Cox arranged Yakov’s performance at the lavishly decorated Congressional Ball. While onstage Yakov commented that the “Inaugural committee asked me to go to Washington to perform in front of the Bushes. I told them that would get me arrested.”
